Yes my BEOON works fine with the M240 together with the Summilux 50mm f1.4 asph.Hm... maybe not all 50mm enlarging lenses are exactly 50mm? The BEOON manual says it can be used with all model Leica cameras and all 50mm Leica lenses, but I wonder if there's also some variation in the exact focal length of Leica 50mm lenses. I have the BEOON manual, so I'll try to post some scans of it later.
I was led down the garden path of the enlarger lenses as they’re designed for flat field performance with edge to edge (acceptable) focus, superior to a camera taking lens such as the summilux 50 f1.4.
Others have mentioned that the focal length of enlarger Lenses are not controlled to the same tolerance as camera lenses, so if we both purchase a Schneider Componon 50mm F2.8 N, for example, you may find your copy works perfectly whilst I might consider it a waste of money.
In simple terms, I thought a 63mm would move the camera and lens further from the negative, so enabling a linear range of column adjustment.
