Edit my posts in old threads....?

The last couple of days I've been unable to edit my posts in threads I've posted in. This was possible before and I used it frequently the last weeks to update the urls of my photos after they were transferred to a new web address.

Do others experience the same thing or was this imposed on me only?

Yes I too have the same problem
Wanting to go back and refresh a photo i have tweaked
But the 'edit' button no longers appears after a day posted ???

Thanks Helen. So if this is a new forum 'rule', would it be possible to go back to the old situation. I hate it to be unable to update my posts, especially if they have images. Posts and threads will become worthless when they contain only empty squares.

write directly to stephen…we, the mods, have not been informed of any changes to the edit feature.

I asked a similar question just over a year ago… a simple way to identify and edit orphan links would be very useful.

The edit function appears to remain available for sixty minutes after the time of the post.

That's how it works now, but a couple of days ago I could still edit all my previous posts, even when they were several years old.

So please, Stephen, when you read this, please restore editing to as it was before.

Yes, I am aware of that also. I made my previous post because you hadn't bothered to detail the current functionality and I felt it was relevant.

Sounds like a setting with user permissions, but it could be almost anything else.

Sometimes, a change in one area can have unintended consequences elsewhere.
