any of you all who own and use regularly a G2 have a favorite DSLR or mirrorless body that you regard as equivalent in form factor, ergonomics to the G2? I'd appreciate your feedback.

Had a G2 a few years ago. Now have Fuji X-Pro1... VERY similar ergonomics and operational 'feel' to the G2.

Jamie,
thank you, Sir. Gotta find a brick and mortar for a try out

Jamie is right, as close as you'll get. I had both simultaneously, good combo.

I agree with Jamie too. I'm pretty happy with my epl5 olympus too, but the x-pro1 would be closer.

Similar to the contax G1/2 but the x-pro1 has an infinitely better viewfinder, The G viewfinder is small and a bit squinty in comparison.

I shoot film on my G2, my wife a Nikon DSLR (D7000), she often asks me to take a few shots of her/kids when we're out or whatnot and I gotta say, that Nikon is like a brick in my hand. I can say that I don't think a DSLR and a G2 compare well since the ergonomics and forms are so different. The Nikon is all digital in settings (save for the scroll wheels and mode) but the G2 is almost all manual (save for the ISO dial), I find shooting with her Nikon to be slow. When she upgrades in a few years I will prob point her to one'a those Fuji RF type kits. Best luck!

I decided for an X100 rather than X-Pro as having a G2 plus five lenses I didn't want another 'system' (camera plus a number of lenses) to carry around. In my last seven trips the X100 has been the perfect companion to my G2.

does anyone know if someone is making a G-series to Fuji X-mount lens adapter?
