I love it Keith!!!

Thanks for the laugh.

Looks nice Akiva.

The one I put on my M9 must be a bit crooked cause my horizons are always just a bit slanted. 🙂

Hi,

It could be a matter of balance. Have you weighed the red dots and compared them with the weight of the black ones. I mean black holes are heaviest and it could, therefore, follow naturally. ;-)

No no you are supposed to look through the OTHER end of the camera! 🙂 🙂 🙂

I tried to take the red dot off using my thumb with and without a rubber band, that didn't work too well, then I used toothpicks to move it a little bit… then I gave up… I guess I will let the red dot stay on it until I my thumb heals….

cheers, michael

Michael, you need patience. Just use your finger nails to grip the silver lettering. Twist clockwise and then anti clockwise repeatedly. It is very easy.

There might also be a slim chance someone before you took off the red dot for aligning the RF patch and reused the red dot with strong double sided tape. Perhaps a cotton bud stick with some alcohol applied along the edges can help? Good luck!

FYI, the black dots are no more from DAG. Other than painting one, they are not to be found anywhere. I had one on my M10 and when it came back from service, it had a red one.

Don claims Leica does not want to sell them to him anymore because they are reserving them for cameras that originally came with the black logos.
