Ikon/Bessa Battery Replacement

I've read of Nikon owners debating the wisdom of using one CR1/3 Lithium in place of the LR44.

Is it advisable to use one CR1/3 in the place of two SR44, or LR44?

I use the one battery solution all the time because it lasts long then the LR44.

I use the lithium. My ZI came with one installed so I've stuck with it. Why wouldn't it be advisable?

SR44s last longer than LR44s, in my experience, so I normally use 2xSR44, though occasionally I use just one battery in my MP (never tried it in my Bessas or ZI).

I haven't been able to verify the claim that the CR1/3N will keep up better in cold weather, but I'm not taking chances with the LR44 anymore. A couple good pictures missed is enough for me...
