Is anyone using the CV 12mm on your M9?

"The Web" says that this is a poor lens to use with the M9, due to colour shifting at the edges. And S.Gandy even provides a link on using the CV12 on an M9, but it jumps right into using Cornerfix.

So - if you are using the 12mm on an M9, are you chained to "Cornerfix'ing"?

I have one of the newer 12mm M mounts on my M8.2, sorry, just do not own a M9 yet. I enjoy the lens. I do not have a UV IR yet for it, and yet I just enjoy its very wide angle.

I have a VC 21mm finder and I judge the 12mm from everything I see outside the bright lines... fairly close. The need to be careful exists and chimp a bit to make certain my feet are not in the picture sometimes.

Hope you find some M9 users with the lens. I certainly like it more than the old one that had to have an adapter to use a filter. Built well and does a fairly nice job. Wish it were a stop faster or 2.

Vick,
Tina on the LUG has recently posted some gorgeous photos she made with the 12mm on her M9. It has less red edge than the 21mm SA.

I have it and it is a fantastic, fun lens especially for what it costs. I manually code it as a 21 and yes it does suffer from the red edge problem on the left but I find this fairly easy to sort with a preset I made in LR3

I coded mine as WATE@16mm, which take out most of the color shift at edges and after "corner fix" it is really good.

And it is a good lens for B/W also.
