I love Ilford as well but prices are not what they once were there either especially.... 120 HP5 which is my main fave and most used film.
Just brought in some Foma 100 and 400 to try out.... fingers crossed.
I will support all of these films for as long as they are made. Kodak may become too expensive for everyday snaps though.

It's not all roses in Ilford land - the price of 36 exposure, XP-2 Super here in the States is about to or already has climbed to $8 a roll.

Is Kodak still that much cheaper than Ilford south of the border ? For me here they're almost the same (price wise)

It's gone back and forth a bit over the years depending on sales and specials.
The last time I stocked ilford 35mm a 2 pack was just under $5 at BH.
I bought a few hundred rolls. Now it's over $5 per and Tri-x is $4.39 per at Freestyle ( at least it was 2 weeks ago hopefully still).
So the answer is as most things... it depends.
Bottom line is premium films is going to cost much more than less premium brands it seems from now on. On the order of double the price is not out of the question.

Yes, it does depend, on what you want and where you want to get it and how soon you want it.
I am grateful that I can still get what I want and when I want it, here in the UK.
I shan't worry until the cost becomes a lot more...I just think what I used to pay for Marlboro cigarettes, untill I gave up...very silly money here in the UK
I think film is not too expensive, and as long as it's available here I shall continue to use it. I do worry about the future of E6 slide film, as I use a lot of this, but so far it's continuing.
