Does anyone have any leads on new stock black MPs? BH, Local Leica Store (SoHo), Adorama etc have been empty for months.

Tamarkin told me about a month and a half ago that Leica never tells their dealers what will be in the next shipment or when it is coming as I asked the exact same question. I just checked their site and he does have a mint black MA listed for $4150.

I had asked a dealer in Bangkok. They said I have to pay full in advance and wait around 4 months. Later I contact Leica Singapore who said almost the same (pay full price and wait up to four months). With the cheaper price, I decided to order it. One month later, they contacted me to get my MP. It is the new one, 5xxxxxx serial no. and dated November 2019.

Some Leica stores, like the Leica Berlin store, feature the MP on their site and ask you to inquire about delivery times.

I bought mine, I in April, from Popflash. I would work with Popflash again. MPs are out there, but unfortunatley this is the method to find them. The purchase was worth it.

What is meant by "the new one?" Is there a newer version of the MP? Or does it just mean more recently manufactured?

I mean newly manufactured, not newer version. Mine was produced in November 2019.

Perhaps this is their modus operandi? Whenever I've looked for whatever to buy on their site, they did not have it in stock. This said, a one month waiting period is very decent. Have fun with the camera!
