M2 Eyepiece Ring?

I used to have a really nice rubber eyepiece ring for my M2 that I bought in Hong Kong. It was some generic chinese thing. I lost it. Does anyone know of a good one available that doesn't fall off all the time?

DAG sells a nice one. I use it on my M2 and M4P. It fits over the existing eyepiece. Just go to dagcamera.com

I have one of those from DAG - it's plastic and is a tad too loose for my taste. I got some felt stick-on rings from AkiAshi - they work well

If you can find an M6 eyepiece, it can be used on the M2.

It's very comfortable to use and makes the VF slightly more pleasant to look through.

Wonder how it is for folks like me who wear glasses (i.e. increases distance from eyepiece). Also it's $58.00 vs Aki-Ashi's eye piece patch - 4 of which cost $3.50 - just saying😉

DAG has some plastic rings which snap on to the viewfinder. Maybe enough to protect from scratching glasses?

Are you looking at the 'huge' diopter? The $15 ring is quite small....

Works like a charm.... had one put on my M4 when DAG did the overrhaul 2 yrs ago.

M2 Eyepiece Ring?

I have one of DAGs eyepiece covers. It is perfect, don’t look any farther.

Search 'Rubber eyepiece guard M2' on ebay (out of the UK) -- better then even the hard plastic ones DAG sells. Softer rubber around harder plastic that clip over the eyepiece. They work and they work well. Of course you could always use corn plasters or o-rings too. I've used all four of these solutions at one time or another.

I have a couple of the DAG snap on covers and they work very well. Currently, there is a seller on Ebay offering a 3D printed version that is a bit softer.

I'm curious to know if anyone knows where one could get a -2 diopter for a M4-2 if they even exist? Had one for my Bessa r4m but lost it and don't imagine it would work anyways. Although it did fit on a Fuji 645W Pro to my surprise.

Diopters for the M4-2 are available new from the usual dealers. I think the diopter for the Nikon FM/FE series will fit the Bessa bodies but will not fit the Leicas if that’s what you are asking.
