I guess they dont spend enough time on the interweb so they didn’t hear about the great “film renaissance” that is, I keep hearing, sweeping the globe. Nor did Fuji.

I had one of these about ten years ago. Put a lot of Kodachrome through it before that film was discontinued too. Nice camera, but I've always preferred cameras with mechanical shutters.

Fifteen years is a good run for any camera.
Yeah, there is a film renaissance. Film sales notched up from .8% of what they used to be in the early/mid 90's to 1.25% of their sales peak.

I always liked the idea of an AE Leica, but the M7 was always preceded by rumors and whispers about problems and hiccups. And then Leica shot it down by issuing the MP. That wasn't a good idea.
Now... I wonder how long it will be before we hear about the MP being discontinued too.

My M7 was my first Leica, and I'll never part with it. I've had other M bodies since then, and they are all pleasant, capable cameras, but the M7 became my baseline for how a Leica should feel.
