Earlier today, Leica posted to Facebook saying that they are releasing new black chrome versions of the 35/2 ASPH and 50/1.4 ASPH. The 50 ASPH appears to be the same version included with the Lenny Kravitz M, minus the "brassing".

"...The Summilux-M 50 mm f/1.4 ASPH. revisits the classic design of its predecessor from 1959. Typical features of this are the scalloped focusing ring with knurled segments and the finely knurled aperture ring. In addition, the focusing scale in feet is picked out in red on the black chrome lenses. The new version also includes a round lens hood and a lens cap – both made from metal."

These are nice, but Voigtlander beat them to the punch a while back. My CV 35 1.2 has the sweet knurled focus rings, as does my ZF 40mm 2.0
The CV 50 1.5 Asph also has knurled focus rings etc etc (all current production lenses).

I have a chrome 50 Lux ASPH that will be going back to Leica for the third time to fix a problem whereby it gradually loosens/becomes wobbly to the point where it throws off RF calibration and turns quite glowy wide open... I'm growing suspicious that the design of the body isn't good for frequent handling, such as lens changes (which I do a lot) where there's rotational force applied to the lens body... If this 'old' design is more robust, it might interest me. I also despise the pull out hood of the 'modern' design.
