It looks like Rocky no longer offers Paypal on his web site. Perhaps they dont like the number of refunds they have to process?
You bet. ...

I bought a Leica filter a while back and took ages for it to be delivererd even had to send e mails asking for my money back when it did arrive was in ok condition. poor communication don't think I will bother to buy from him again. I googled him and got lots of bad reviews so I would say at your own risk.

I'd add my voice saying avoid. I bought an enlarging lens described as mint , it's condition was completely unusable due to the worst balsam failure I've ever seen. Someone had even written as much on the original packaging. Got my money refunded after repeated emails but not my costs for returning it to them.

I post this because he recently failed to deliver any of the items I had ordered from him and failed to respond to several enquiries by me. I got a refund thru my credit card organisation
Watch out
Did he send you a Royal Mail tracking number for your order? I recently purchased a lens but the tracking number doesn't appear to work...

I don't suppose I should 'necropost' in my own thread, but Rocky Cameras do now have a presence on "Etsy" and many of the buyers seem to be quite happy.
If you go there and look for 'Praktica' you should find the shop.
I wonder if he/they are 'turning things around' by improvement of stock and service, or whether the reputation was worse than it should've been?

No. Just No.
Don't go near. This guy was a con man two eBay handles before Rocky Cameras, like a decade ago.
How much Rocky horror stories do you need before believing them?

I bought a Voigtlander Vitomatic IIIb in May.
Listed as:
"This camera comes in optically perfect conditon. This is a working item, shutter firing correctly. This is in exc cosmetic conditon"
and I also emailed to ask about the condition of the meter and was told it was working.
Camera I received had a shutter that wasn't working properly, it hung open at 1/8 of a second and below and above that seems to be roughly the same shutter speed no matter what it was set for. Lens was anything but optically perfect (see attached), viewfinder was hazy and the meter wasn't working properly as aperture had no affect on it.
Shipped it back and received a refund only after putting through a claim on Etsy.

Wow, that lens is toast. I learned the hard way to never buy any camera equipment that was not in the same country that I live in. Sure, eBay MAY get you a refund if you buy from them, but the shipping back and forth will kill you.

Conmen gonna con and Etsy crafter/lomo/hipster purchasers are not discerning.

I used to know the guy running it, before the advent of Ebay he used to sell on market stalls very cheaply and at least you could check out stuff a bit. However he was as dodgy as can be so there is no way I would buy from him. On every forum his name has come up the same thing has been said, its rubbish and do not deal. So from knowing him 20 year ago and everything I have heard burn a fifty rather than buy from him.
