I recently picked up a 50mm Summilux Pre-ASPH (E46). I wanted this lens instead of the E43, primarily because of the the closer focus, but I am not a huge fan of the pull-out hood. So, I am thinking about getting a screw-in 46mm hood from the 'bay. Here is what I am looking at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...86913&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2803wt_1141

Has anyone here tried a screw-in hood on a lens with a built-in hood? How did it work for you? Anyone here with experience with these hoods or this seller? Thanks!

Yes, I use a screw -n hood for a 50 summicron. I would not mind the built-in hoods if they locked into position. I also ditched the rectangular plastic hood for the 35 cron and got a 39mm screw-in round metal one.

I use that same (or very similar) hood w/my 'lux, only I got it via eBay seller "heavystar." Works fine.
