hmmm... build looks sweet
Rendering a little too bland, Clean, little character & funky bokeh
but maybe someone will blow my mind with it's rendering
I was looking forward to this lens because of the LTM option (and the black paint/nickel option).
So far - its properties, as far as I have seen, have not impressed me (not commeting on the motifs above - all lovely).
I hope to see qualities that will sway me, and will follow this thread.
It is a common misunderstanding that there is a relationship between the quality of bokeh and maximum aperture, there is not.no amazing bokeh (f2.8!)
Each time I see Erik's photosI think " I do really need that lens" soon later I remember it is the photographer not the lens...
excellent photo Erik, it must be a satisfaction to have this print in your hands !
PS: I like how the lens renders colours and focus in the last photo.

But, regardless; it great that you like it, that is all that matters.

i'm sure this lens will do the trick for many. I'm more inclined to have my mind blown by a well-printed, finely composed photograph, than by lens characteristics.

"finely composed photograph"......
I guess we are on different wavelengths which is Fine
To me a "finely composed photograph" can be boring
Photography for Me is all about the moment captured and it's CONTENT
It's content and how it speaks and draws a Viewer in.
I have seen perfectly composed photos that say nothing
I have seen photos with camera shake, motion blur,
off in the combo of aperture ,shutter speed ,film iso
and yet it can work !
The Emotive quality of the photo pulls You in and it is Brilliant.
It's not about perfect exposure, perfect framing, perfect camera
It's about 'Seeing' and making use of the moment.
Sometimes mistakes can be a Gem...
