I opened the door of my car on June 6th, and my camera fell out. This isn't the first time it happened, so I should know better. Conversely, the camera hadn't suffered from any previous falls, so I didn't worry. The mirror was locked up and Nikon took about three months to repair it.
I almost bought a Nikon D700 or a Fuji X100, but decided to wait. The waiting and break of actually taking photos put me into a rut. Not that I've lost my enthusiasm for photography, but more so for actually lugging a camera around and downloading them to a computer.
