I don't know anything about this 'market' but wonder if caneras in that category hold their value/guarantee a profit years down the line.

I doubt it Peter. I don't think you could resell it for that the next day. Not really a liquid asset.

I think they do that to make an M beater priced at 2k+ seem like bargains.
