I have old Kodak 50D (5245) cinefilm. I tried it in C-41 and now in ECN-2.
It always comes dark. I tested it at different ISO from 25 to 100, same thing.
I developed it yesterday with Fuji 250D in the same tank.
Why it is happening with this Kodak 50D? Both films are old.
Thank you,
Ko.

It never was faster than ISO 50 to start with, has not been made for a decade, and might be more than 25 years old. IIRC Ektar 50 was its photographic counterpart, which did not store well even when frozen - EXR presumably will be similar. It certainly looks very fogged which indicates that it has suffered in storage, so that its speed may have dropped by more than the two stops you tested. Try again at ISO 6 to 1.5...

Few minutes ago I found one thread on Flickr where someone was comparing Fuji and Kodak in terms of RemJet removal. Conclusion was Fuji film will lose it at prewash with soda, while Kodak still needs manual RemJet removal after developing. I'll try it with my test roll as well.

Any lab processing ECN-2 will remove the Remjet - that is one of the major differences between ECN-2 and C-41. Or did you do ECN-2 by yourself?

Yes, I have ECN-2 kit. And before I used this Kodak cinefilm in C-41 kit.
This is from two years old, 20+ films С-41 developing kit earlier this year.
