Reading the latest Epson Digital Rangefinder thread had me thinking, what's the best deal you were able to find on a camera body or lens?

Local yard sales? Goodwill store? online buy?

Mine was my black Nikon F3/T body. Purchased online earlier this Spring for $100 as non-working. Received it, replaced a battery and moved the power switch to ON and it's been working flawlessly :)

What's yours?

Konica Autoreflex full&half frame SLR - 5 EUR (sold as non working, but it was just self timer stuck - 2 min DIY to fix):

Some other stuff:
Yashica T4 - 4.5 EUR
Olympus Mju II - 5 EUR
A dozen of "old junk" cameras and lenses from ebay that cost me around 200 EUR, but the lot included Contax T2, Yashica T4 and Olympus 50/1.2 lens...

Plustek 7200 with all accessories in a carrying case for $25.00. Found a couple of other really good deals, but I think that one takes it!

I think second best was a Konica Pearl III in really good shape sold as not working for I think $70 or so.

I'd have to say it was a Nikon FM2 w/50mm Nikkor f1.2 on Craigslist for $100. That is tied with the Micro Nikkor 55mm f2.8 off Goodwill for $128 including shipping. That lens turned out to be minty.

Well, I was given a Nikon F4s for free from another RFF member.
Other than that, a Nikon F90x with the 50mm for £23.

Not as good as the kit shown above for $375, but a Leica M5 for $390 on Ebay. Camera was described as "very rough" and "may have non functioning parts" but basically working except for the light meter. What I received was a camera with some minor signs of wear and a functioning light meter. I had to make a minor adjustment to set the infinity focus on the rangefinder and the self timer does not work.

The original asking price was $466, shipped, (I think) and I my offer of $390 was accepted.

I should add that, since I have bought a number of FSU cameras over the years, my definition of "very rough" my be a bit more extreme that most Leica users.

I'd say my exc. 1957 Agfa Ambi Silette with case, what looks to be an exc++ 50mm lens and an exc++ 90mm lens, with exc++ lens hood and exc+ UV filter all for £90. In many european listings on ebay the camera, lens and case over £120, so I basically got the 90mm, hood and filter for free.

The local flea market has yielded some gems over the years. The most recent, and one I am still in happy shock/disbelief over, is an Olympus OM Zuiko 50mm f2 Macro lens in near mint condition, for $5.

a couple others from the same flea:
-2.8C Rolleiflex in nice condition, $50
-Very clean Pentax MX w/ Pentax 50 1.4 lens, $5.

I was shopping for a finder for my GSN, they were selling for $20 and up on ebay.

I found a 'for parts' black Yashica GT camera with the tele-wide finder on the shoe and bought it for $20.50.

The Camera wouldn't fire when arrived, I kept the finder for my GSN and sold the camera as non-working/for parts for $43 :)

Mint condition Nikon F3 in "not working" condition when all it needed was a new battery. $30.
I've gotten far better "scores" on rare books at low prices.

A Pentax K-1000 with a 50mm 1.8 for $10 at a flea market.
A small Gitzo carbon fiber tripod with a Really Right Stuff ball head for $16.
A Ricoh GR-1s for $8.29
The legs for an original Majestic tripod for $5 at a flea market.

A mint Leica M6TTL .58x chrome for only $750 from a retired photojournalist who didn't want a store to give her that amount in consignment and then double the price in store.
