What of fine shot of the Moulin Rouge! And framing it vertically to keep the verticals vertical; and thereby also including the wet street--absolutely perfect!
Actually, I like this picture, even with its misaligned verticals; and that's almost always a "no thank you" for me. I liked it enough to study what went wrong. The camera was tilted to align the vertical edge of the house on the left, parallel to the left frame edge. But since the camera was tilted down from level, vertical convergence came into play. The result left the center and the right side disturbingly (to me) off from vertical. Again, I still like the shot very much. I have the feeling of being there.
Great capture, many stories can be seen here! Love the pastel colours from the Ektar. You make me desire to shoot film Lynn!
Thanks Robert. I had to desaturate the Ektar a bit and go for high key in post processing to tame the contrast and colours.
