there's an MDa up on ebay, it's spent its life attached to a repro stand. I'm tempted to bid for it and give it a new life with my CV snapshot 25mm lens and finder - what do you think?

I'm a bit worried how many shots it has taken at a single speed.

A quick search on ebay I found 3 MDa's One is overpriced another has the data bottom plate (I'd pass on this one) and KEH has a BGN grade one reasonably priced. I've bought BGN grade cameras from KEH and can highly recommend them.

Most of these models saw little use mostly being bounced around in storage drawers and will probably need a CLA at some future time but if reasonably priced (KEH) I'd go for it..

Make that 5 on ebay...

First time I've ever heard about such worries. Is there any real difference whether the shots are taken at different speeds or at a single one?

Might be like this car:
1985 Blue VW
Only 80km on the clock
Only first and reverse gears ever used
Never driven hard
Original Tyres
Original Brakes
Original Fuel
Original Oil
Only one driver

Looks like a spiffing car to me! If the engine would fire, a refuel and oil replacement would be all you need to extract some more miles out of it..

No, I'm really wondering whether there would be any non-emotional reason why using a camera at a single speed all the time would be detrimental. At least, I never heard of it before..

md2

md2

i picked up an md2 to use w both cv 25/4 and 15/4.5- works great. i use it occasionally on a reprovit as well, usually at 1/4. so far it continues to work fine. i think all the md2 bodies are black and as such, with no rf windows, makes it look like a pretty stealth object. (snakes over on my uber page was shot w the 25)
