I just acquired a nice J12 lens but have no camera body to use it with yet.
I'm excited and can't wait to try it out!

I'd like to see some illustrations of the strengths and weaknesses of this lens.
Is there a thread on RFF or a good webpage featuring pics from the J12?

Chris

If you like colour here are two, the first is wide open and the second stopped down to F8 or 11. The lens is a in Kiev mount.

I'm still working on my first roll with one.

Chris, out of curiosity, what mount is it- Contax or LTM?

Same J-12 lens, first one in a Zorki 6, the other two in a Leica IIIb. There is a bit of rim flare in the last two. A great lens anyway.

dlrings: that is a wonderfull photo! great.
I just bought one for my kiev, with the original 35mm external finder. great because it is realy bright compared with the rather dim viewfinder of the kiev.
haven't developed the first roll though, going to post the results as soon as they'll be scanned (to much undeveloped rolls at the moment;)).
the silver j12 and finder looks really great on a kiev....
happy shooting

here are some quick digi snaps of toys in my kitchen. I tend to use the cron C, but it's nice to be able to grab the barrel as opposed to a tab sometimes. It's pretty sharp. I also used it for that goofy refrigerator pic in my gallery, so it does well in the cold : )

I'm a late arrival to this J.12 love fest, but I have several J.12 shots in my RFF.Gallery & blog. I rarely leave home without it.

Here is a couple of pics. First is on a Z3 wide open.

Second is on the same Z3 in really difficult conditions. Shot around 10:00am or so. Business fire in a small downtown area. The fire was on the south side of the street. The shot is almost directly into the sun. Lots of smoke and steam in the air. Most of the shots looked like this

But I did get one to come out well. Here it is.
