WOW horrible resolution... Google video blows. The content is very interesting. I just couldn't bare to watch 2 minutes of it.. ow, my eyes!

It is important to note that in the process of splitting water into oxygen and hydrogen using electrolysis, the input energy required to split oxygen and hydrogen is, usually, greater than the energy given off in the reaction (burning of hydrogen) of combining hydrogen and oxygen to produce water, which is what is happening inside the engine when the hydrogen is burned to run the vehicle. In the case of Dingel’s invention, he used a DC battery for the electrolysis. So, in short, it is like the DC battery that runs the car, which is pretty much impossible because the energy stored in the DC battery is so small to run a car, like what Dingel showed.

This is the point of discussion, how did Daniel Dingel do that? If he only used the process of electrolysis to split the oxygen and hydrogen to run the vehicle, then what he had claimed to be his invention is either a false invention where he just cheated on his presentation or he violated the law of nature in the chemical reaction process. The latter is obviously impossible to happen. If his invention is real, then he must show a basis to make it acceptable to everyone.

Which is where I can help! If you hook a generator up to my handy-dandy perpetual-motion machine, you can charge your battery to perform the electrolysis to split the hydrogen and oxygen. It can also drive the compressor to liquify the hydrogen and oxygen (making it much easier to store while driving around, and giving the local delinquents plenty of oportunity to snap-freeze neighbourhood pets or engage in more, um, energetic activities).

Unfortunately, the design of my perpetual-motion machine is held up in litigation I can ill afford. But if you were prepared to provide me with the funds (c/- the Bank of Nigeria) then I'm sure we could get the whole project moving...

If true, they will end up the same place as the German engineers who knew how to get gasoline from coal for the German army in WW2.

Jimmy Hoffa is right next to them.

Then the engineers and Jimmy have plenty of company, because lots of people have known how to get gasoline from coal; click here to read about some of the work that's been done.

Now if somebody could figure out how to burn the stuff without generating greenhouse gases, then they'd really be on to something...
 
I figured a filipino water powered car would be a water wheel attached to the car that turns in the torrental downpours. :)

that's one way to make good use of the flood waters here in the country. :)


i've heard of this news years back and i believe, it was not supported, if not supressed, by big companies, especially oil companies here and abroad for obvious reasons.
 
Excuse me for remaining skeptical about this. You have to either spend energy or spend chemicals to release hydrogen from water. In first case the energy required is *always* more than energy reclaimed from burning hydrogen; in latter you need a constant supply of fresh catalyser that costs quite a bit over raw water.
 
I always thougth that great amounts of energy is needed to release hydrogen from water too.
let us see if any of the methods that lecturer in the youtube video mentions ever comes to market.
