I got both tele and wide auxilary lens for my yashica GX. However, the photo seems not so clear, having focus problem and very soft a corners. I am sure it is not my GX problem.
Do you know how to use the auxilary lens?
Thanks
Conrad

Have you tried to make the focus adjustments that are given on the barrel. At certain distances, you have to change the set focus by upwards of 10 or more feet (if I recall correctly). I have my GSN with me right now, but not the auxiliary lenses; so I don't know the adjustment exactly.

I would be willing to bet that that is where you went wrong as it's an easy mistake to make.

Thanks for your advice.
That is the numbers at the tele/wide lens barrel? Any materials on web should I find for this focus adjustment?
Thanks in advance
Conrad

Thanks Richard.
Jon, the photos are great. Is the close up a original Yashica accessory? As I got only the wide and tele.

They would be the same as long as the filter size on all those other models are 55mm- which I would be willing to bet is the case.

On another note that I wish I'd mentioned before....I'm on my second GSN right now. The first one broke somehow on the lens barrel- right around the self-timer mecahnism. I still don't know what happened to it. I took it out of the bag to photograph a friend & the lens was wobbly & the shutter wouldn't fire.

I've started to wonder lately if this wasn't the result of using the wide attachment a lot with that camera. I've begun to wonder if the extra weight of the add-on lens for extensive periods isn't good for the lens barrel. Just an idea I thought I'd run by the forum.

I for one will just live with the 45mm field of view w/ my GSN from here on out. Besides, the vf is better used on my Kiev 4A w/ Jupiter 12.

The accessory lens kit for the GX has a 52mm thread. They are very hard to find. The much more common lens kit for the GSN/GTNs are 55mm thread.
