I have several rolls (outdated, but I don't think that's a concern) I would like to shoot. I even have a few nondated mailers -- will Dwayne's or whoever honor them?
The Kodak website isn't too informative.
Thanks for any assistance.

Walmart will develop and mount Kodachrome. Use the long term processing envelopes and mark the special instructions box as follows: "Color Slides Process K-14". It takes about two weeks and costs about $4, and the results are perfect. I've been doing it for about three years there now. You can also buy PK36 mailers on eBay - they tend to run $5-7 dollars or so.

Your mailers should still be honored. Send your film in the mailer to Kodak. They forward the film to Dwayne's.

spyder -- I was thinking of that, but the address on the mailer (New Jersey somewhere, I think?) is probably long stale. I suppose the worst that can happen is that it gets returned to me.
David, thanks for the tip about Wal-Mart. I may give that a try too; the price is certainly reasonable.

I tried Sam's Club (same as Wal-Mart) K-14 processing. About $4.50/roll + tax. It's ok. For 1 roll at a time it's cheaper than adding postage to Dwayn'e price. However, I don't have a scanner. So I had to pay Sam's Club $6+ for a crappy CD. Since I want mounted slides & a CD I will send my film directly to Dwayne's along with any other roll film I may have (120/220/135/C-41/B&W).

Call Dwayne's
Call Dwayne's
Ask for mailing instructions for mailers. They also handle the old Fuji E-6 mailers with a Phoenix address on them. Dwayne's will give you a special PO box number in Parsons, Kansas to send them to.

If you use the address on the mailer Kodak will get it and re-direct. However, if you wish you could send it to Kodak in Rochester.

A followup -- I had mailed the film (outdated mailer, I noticed -- 2001) to the New Jersey address on Sept. 24. Got the slides back yesterday, a week and a half later. That's quite satisfactory! Included with them was a photocopy giving the address to use henceforth, which is the Dwayne's address in Kansas. The slides look great. They use just plain Kodak mounts; no longer do you get the mounts that are labeled Kodachrome. So I guess I'll be shooting more K14!

Thank you, gdi for the link. Living in New York I have never heard of Dwayne`s and had always sent my mailers to Kodak in New Jersey, but its been a while. Will they honor Fuji mailer`s as well?

I think (but am not sure), that Fuji mailers are for E-6 films only, not Kodachrome/K14.

That's right - you send your KR to Dwayne's and do your E-6 at home
Nick - how did your out of date film turn out? What was the date on it? I may go to eBay and try to get some old stuff, but I never used old kodachrome. I'd like to know what a reasonable age is...

Fuji Mailers: For Fujichrome film only. Call Dwayne's Photo and ask them for the special P.O. Box number to use when mailing Fujichrome to Dwayne's for processing. The Fuji mailers go to a slightly different address in Parsons, KS.

There was some chatter over the past few weeks on "another network" that opined that the quality control at Dwayne's was slipping a bit, with reports of dirty slides, mismounted frames, etc.
I'm happy to report that the roll I got back last week (a couple are in the gallery) was just fine, clean, clear, properly mounted.
