Yep - the cost of (or lack of suitable) (or bulky) fast SLR glass has saved me from being tempted by any DSLR over the last few years.
With the M8, it's become clear to me this year that there is a bright future for the M series. That has given me the confidence to go out and get a s/h 28 summicron and a 50 summilux - instead of a M8.
With 80% B&W use of my Ms - there is not such a rush to get to digital.
If a Zeiss D or M9 is another year or even two away, then patience will have paid off.
