Is the Bessa -R a good rangefinder ?

It has framelines for 35, 50, 75, and 90. You should get good results with the Nokton; I use a 50mm/f1.5 Jupiter 3 on mine all the time.

noted and will try to get the nokton 50mm/f1.5. How bout the 35mm/2.5c color- skoppar ? like the one offered by camera quest with the bessa R ($399).

Just dont buy off ebay. Give Cameraquest a ring.
Pesphoto, why not get it off ebay ?

Unless you really know the seller I wouldnt trust it if you really want a good user. Check out KEH or B&H if you want used. Or put a want to buy ad here on RFF.

You should buy the R with the 35/2.5 color skopar. It's a good deal and I think that it will become the lens of choice over the 50 once you try it.

thanks.. i saw that camera quest is having a deal with the bessa R with the 35mm/2.5 color skopar.

As a interested buyer. Guys please do not get offended by this.
is mr. Gandy of camera quest reliable and trustable?

i have been in fraud casses in the past before therefore i have to trust 100% before i make a purchase online.

thanks
and sorry if i offended anyone.

Well I guess he's certainly more trustable than any random eBay seller, if anything because he's running a fairly well-known business, has a reputation to lose and lists a phone number on his web site where you can call him. :)

It's a very good camera. Even the plastic surface doesn't annoy me any more. The only thing: I keep a felt tip pen on my desk. Combined with a Canon Serenar I don't ven gave to take the camera from my eye

I envy the American members for being able to order from cameraquest...because here in Austria the prices for new CV lenses and bodies are to steep for me.
So Ibought mine from the bay and was very lucky!

thats great to hear. all i got to do now is to email him questions about the international warranty and shipping and stuff.. thanks alot.

Oh yeah. somethings been bugging me.
please tell me that i seem joking .

Don’t apologise, you are quite correct to be careful on the internet, it was not criticism
:)

No, it's not stuck :) Here's a picture of a beater Bessa R at ISO 320:

It changes by lifting the speed selector dial.

thanks philipp . that was a sign of relief for me. as i mainly intend to use a iso 400 film :D (occasionally 200 and 800)

New Questions guys! ..

The chrome version of Bessa R.. is the chrome part made out of the same thing as you see on the Leica M6 ? Will it corote (rust or anything like that in the long term)

I think chrome is chrome, whether in Japan or in Germany.

I don't think the alloy will rust, that's what dry boxes are for too.
