Anyone got a grip on their M7?

Evening all!

I was wondering if anybody has one of these attached to their M7, MP or M6?
I'm pretty happy gripless when shooting but in the relaxed position by my side the M7 becomes a little uncomfortable, no doubt due to tendonitis from ring finger to elbow on my right hand/arm. I think an accessory grip might help but what do you think?

Rapidgrip here too. I put spare batteries in the handle, wrapped in a "spliff" of paper bearing my name and phone number.

I've got arthritis in the hands, and use the Leica grip on my M7's and M6, working with a very slow machinist to try and manufacture one for the M5.

I like the Leica grip pretty much, but from what I hear Tom's grips are much easier on the hand.
 
I've got a Leica grip on the way to me for my M6 (bought via eBay today for about the same price as those Chinese ones) - I'll let you know what I think when it gets here.
 
I acquired Leica's one - felt pretty comfortable with it on my M6 until picked an old original M3 ever-ready case and now use its lower part to protect my M6 (so it is always in that hardened half-case) so moved the grip to my M3. Here once again I found it useful helping camera handling for extended periods of time, and on both cameras I use Leicagoodie's sling. I found sling with the grip makes quite convenient way to handle the camera, in particular with no strip attached.
 
I'd suggest trying one if you can. The first time I tried a Leica grip on my M initiial feeling was OK although I the strap lug made it less comfortable compared to using without the grip. For carrying it around though it was much better.
 
Many thanks one & all. Ideally I'd try them all before buying but sadly that isn't possible. Your advice is the next best thing though. I'll let you know what I end up with.
 
The grips selled by Virtualvillage are made in China and offer the plus of the centred tripod socket. The grips made and selled by T.A. of Rapidwinder are much more better made, but don't offer the centred tripod socket.
Under the bottom of my Leica M2 and Leica MP i use the original M Grip, plastic made, OK, but well builded. The M Grip offer the centred tripod socket.

I have a similar one like VirtualVillage. Made by GMP, the earlier name for PhotoEquip. Liked it a lot on my M4-2, but spray-painted it together with my M2 since the M4-2 will be getting a motor.
Only drawback is the self-timer is unusable, but I never used it so far anyway.
I like the grip a lot, much better than the plastic Leica one. My Leica grip is adapted to fit the CLE which works wonderfully well.

Now that I have the Leica M-Grip on my M7 I wouldn't be without it. However, I understand that if one has very large hands, the Abramsson grip would be more appropriate. The only way to describe my hand size is that I wear a size Large glove.

I have a couple of the Leica-made grips. Though I have always liked the shooting feel of the Leica without a grip or a case, I find using the Leica grip second nature, very comfortable, not too big, not too small. Yes, it is very good when holding the camera at one's side, not on a neckstrap. Saves a lot of fatique in the hand and fingers.

I briefly has a GMP grip. I got rid of it, as I found it to be a torture to use--very uncomfortable!

The next time I experiment with a new grip, it will be Tom's Rapidgrip.
 
I use Leica Motor M's as grips for my M7 and M6. The added benefit is that I don't have to wind. The noise level in condition I is not that much more than the bare shutter.-Dick
