If it's not as good a deal as I thought someone can let me know. :D

If anyone from RFF buys this, I want to know how it smelled :)

Very nice deal I guess. Inform about the shutter state. Being stored a long time isn't really good for any camera.

The ad says that the M2 is "99.99% mechanically excellent."
Is there a catch behind this .01% (e.g. the shutter really doesn't work and the finder is fogged beyond hope...), or am I just too suspicious of ebay?

I know what you ment, I just didn't have the answer, hence confusion. ;)

It had a BIN price of 500 before it was bidded on, I was under the impression that that was a good price. Maybe not

I will let you know ;).

Does anyone think this M2 is a bad deal? I sounds too good to be true to me. I am a little nervous about sending away such a big cashiers check... any wise words of advise? (besides, "you didn't need an M2 anyway...")

$500 was probably a good price. Where it will finish - who knows?

Hah, not for me, but when I get bored I like to look for deals on ebay, even if I'm not buying.
See what's cool, what's rare, what's overpriced (Arsenal)

The only body I want, but don't need, or really have any interest in investing in is an R8. But I'm happily wedded to my FM2N for my SLR shooting.
