Can anybody tell me if Costco can processes 120 type film?
I heard somewhere if its C-41, they would be able to, but they could be anal about the "unique" film format.
Thanks folks =D

I do not know if their machines will take it. I've never seen a one hour place like that (not in a photography shop) take it, but then I've never asked. It may not be too late out in California to call a store out there and ask. They do not quote prices over the phone but will say what services. I might be call to the manager tomorrow if they say no just to double check. Some manager and worker are more helpful than others.

The sort answer is 'Not in store; yes for send to outside lab'.
The longer answer is that some locations have the machines capable of in store processing, but nearly none contains the necessary accesories nor operators who know how to use them to process 120 film. So, what you will be told is to use their send-out service which may take anywhere from 3 days to 2 weeks. Last time I used them, they were very cheap (3 years ago).

Here on the south side of Atlanta the Wolf Camera stores can process C41 120, but not scan or print it. Surprisingly the same is true of one of the two Sam's Clubs on this side of town. The Wolf's will do it in an hour for about $5.50, and Sam's does it on a one day basis for about two bucks less. It requires someone who knows how to load the special 120 film cartridge in a changing bag for the Frontier processor that both of these stores use. I'm going to try to get a one day pass to my local Costco to see what services they offer that I can use. I've been told that they can scan 35mm to a much larger file size than either Wolfes or Sam's say they are able to do, and that would interest me. I'm hoping they can at least process 120, too.

I'm quite lucky in that there's a pro lab nearby that'll do 120 with a 2-hour turnaround (developing only). They take a couple of days for prints-they do them in house, but have a schedule. If it's b+w, do them yourself-it's fun, easy and when you really get the hang of it, you'll find your results might even be better than the lab.

BTW, I need to drop a couple of rolls off at Costco on thursday. I'll ask then. They scan my 35mm C-41 stuff at a resolution of 18megs.

If you're in LA go to A&I Photo. They have labs in Downtown, Hollywood and Santa Monica. There are plenty of Labs in LA to do that kind of work. If you think its expensive (should be $6 at A&I), get a dark bag ($20), Tank & reel ($15-40) some chemistry ($20) and develop to your heart's content.
