Thinking about flash for older RF's, I see two options: small one just to use when fill flash needed (like Metz Mecablitz 30B3, EDITED: not good example, I mean those small rectangular flashes) and another one with bounce (I mean tilting head) for fill flash and indoor use w/ bouncing (like vivitar 2800)
Which path you would recommend me as worth starting from your experience ? I suspect that larger and potentially better will be more at home than with me....

There is a third way, that I suggest considering. Good flashes are humongous, like my Sunpak 120. They should not be mounted on any camera especially rangefinder (stress of structure, unbalance etc.). Thus I use a wireless command. Because they cost a fortune I bought one very unexpensive on an ebay shop of Hong Kong (no connection). It does its job (no fancy functions) decently. Of course if one find itself in a croud of photogs this simple solution is not recomended. BTW something or SOMEONE has to hold the flash for you.

This is what I do. Here's an example:

I've also bought a small, vintage Olympus flash to go on my RC35 for a few social shots and so on.
