Ran one roll of Superia 200 through it and was so happy with the results. Great color, very sharp 35mm 2.8 Zuiko. Also have a 1.8 50 and 75-150 f4. My experience with SLR's goes back to 1954 or so with a Practiflex with WLF.
In 1959 I purchased a Konica T2 with 57mm 1.4 and was very happy with it and still have the camera. Believe it or not, I picked this camera OVER the Nikon F which had just come out because the T2 had auto indexing and the F did not! I then got a T3 which I still have, this with a 50 1.4. I have been more than thrilled with these and the other SLR's ( Nikon) that I still use. BUT, this little OLY is so great I can't even begin to extoll its virtues. Handling is super, I love the Spot meter and its capabilities. I could go on and on but in short I have a wonderful little camera set and I got it at a great price. I thought at first it was too small after the larger ones I'm used to but no, thankfully, it's a pleasure in the hands. Why did I wait so long?? :) :D

Thanks , Roland

Thanks , Roland

I am pretty pumped about it, as a matter of fact I'm going out today with it. Hope I get some good photo ops.:D

I love the OM-4. I have two of the newer OM-4T bodies and wouldn't give them up for anything. The OM system is just incredible. Smaller cameras than a Leica M, quiet and fast to operate...I do a lot of street shooting with mine and the spot meter is so quick and intuitive to use that even in fast situations my photos are always perfectly exposed. I have collected a lot of OM lenses over the years and now have 14 of them.

I assume you got the 4, not the 4T. I actually prefer the 4, it brasses
nicely and the shutter seems softer to me. And the often described
battery issue is no big deal to me. Just have to remember to switch it off
when you put it in your bag for longer (exposure on the red 60 or on B).

YMMV, of course.

Enjoy !

Roland.

Thanks, thanks

Thanks, thanks

Thanks for all the responses, it is a very, very nice camera. I got the 4 not the 4T. This came along at a price I couldn't resist. My will power is nil anyway, lol. Roland: I did read about the red B and 60 to shut off the circuitry but thanks anyway. There's always the chance someone might be reading that is not aware of this. :)

All this OM talk...
I'm tearing up ... :)
Yeah, just when I'm trying to cut back :bang:

In any event, I will always have a basic OM kit. An OM-1 for sure, and I had thought an OM-2, but now that you mention the OM-4 ... dang.

Congratulations. As was said before: OM-4(T) is THE camera.

I'm happy that I just a few days ago bought a 2-13 focussing screen on ebay.de - they seem to be quite rare now, and everyone who has it seems to hold on to it.
