I was the friend.
I didn't find my book...
But, I did check out Photographs, by Caritier Bresson
And there were candid shots hanging up on the walls of people picking out books and such. So it seemed pretty natural to be taking pictures.

No need to be an asshole, just ignore the thread and move on.
Keith
The best camera is one that still works!
I once heard someone describe Ywenz's contribution to threads as being similar to a sprinkling of manure ... who was that person? I want to shake his hand!

I don't think that's a fair statement; manure does serve a purpose after all...

killer of threads
Yes, but the manure doesn't often end with more than decomposing into the soil.cmedin said:I don't think that's a fair statement; manure does serve a purpose after all...

I like how you caught the face on the back of the book. Was that an accident or intended?

wtf? are people here really complaining about privacy in a public place? the library is a great place to shoot, sad statement!

Aye the library is indeed a great place to shoot. There is _no_ expectation of privacy in a library. So dont worry about it.
Just ignore ywenz.

I guess a little of both. I was just trying to catch him putting a book back or pulling a book out.

Thats a good photo Jeremy. Quite interesting. Besides what is the difference of a shot at the library of someone reading a book, and a street shot of standing outside peering through a restraunt window snaping a photo of someone reading the paper? As long as your not disturbing the peace both are fair game. Also, if anyone can get by with running around a library with a slr it would be a 16 year old.

Jeremy, dont listen to the naysayers! Cool photo and Im sure you were shooting with only the best of intentions. Since when is a library such a sacred place where one cant take a few photos if discreet. jeez! How many pics have we seen here taken in museums. Keep experimenting. This world is becoming way too sensitive. Did you hear that early episodes of Sesame Street come with a warnign now that it may be harmful for your young children? This is for real. Please!!!!!!!!

nice pic jeremy! You people really oughta stop taking rff comments so seriously. I reply to posts in whatever way I want to based on what I feel at the time. I dish out positive comments and sarcastic ones equally. pics in a library sounded like a crummy idea to me so I replied as I felt.
