My Focotars have a 39mm thread. The Focotar-2 has that thread as well, doesn't it?

Seeing that 39mm is called 'Leica Thread' in enlarger-ese I'd suppose so. This is the enlarger lens to end all enlarger lenses from what I've heard. Have you a line on one?

Yep, and it still needs to be used with the DOORX extension tube if used on a Focomat.

HI,

It will fit but the autofocus won't work. The autofocus is designed for a 60mm lens.

And if the extension tube isn't used will the lens simply not fit? My Focomat has the 60mm Focotar. Do I therefore have the DOORX--i.e., is the Focotar 60 mounted on a DOORX?

It will fit but it will be way to close to the film. Probably impossible to focus.

I said "probably" it might work in a limited range.
There is a DOORX on ebay right now.
I have a second 1C for spare parts. There might be a DOORX on it. I can sell it to you if you like. How many DOORX's do I need anyway🙂

Yes, thanks. I spotted it and am watching it. I actually saw that auction yesterday but it meant nothing to me. Now it's the most important event in my life.

If you have a spare DOORX I'd certainly be interested.
