This lens is one of my all time favorites among some other Leitz and Nikkors. This lens, however, is unique with a character of its own at all f-stops, as oppopsed to all other lenses that quickly lose their edge from f2.8
More important then optical perfectness is optical personality.

A few from last week's outing:

Thanks, Chris!

This is probably my 100th Bus stop picture I'm posting but I just can't resist them! Every Bus stop seems to have it's own story to tell... and the people it owns!

;-)

Great shots!

What film are you using for these?

What kind of condition is your lens in?

I've been looking at this one myself...thanks for sharing!

Hi!

I used Adox 20 developed in HC110 dilution H for 14 minutes, 3 inversions every 3 minutes.

The Lens is in Excellent condition. There is a huge sample variation on the market so I suggest a thorough clean for optimal results.

I hope you find one. A very fine lens, IMO.

really wonderful bokeh. much smoother compared to jupiter 9 which I did got recently. Summarit is the lens to get at next time :),.. summar, collapsible summicron.. long list :)

# 3 is great, very moody and the tree looks .... lost ? fragile ? Nice series of photos, Ned. This lens has character.

I love the signature of the Summarit. It's very unique, like that of the Summar. You can pick out the negs on a light table.

Two shots from today, with the M8.

First, my wife wanted me to buy her an ugly hat

And then we saw Al Pacino (look carefuly):

Oh sweet google moogle Ned haha, those tree shots are hauntingly beautiful though. Lovely shots.

Hehehe!

Them rappers and afro americans have this weird thing with names (Jacynda, lassondra, jassandra, farfanella, jackstrappa and so on) but Alpa tchino? I knew there was something going on in that poster so I stared at it until I found the "error" :)

Thanks for commenting!

Here's a couple of my Summarit shots:

I think the first is wide open, the second is f2.0. Both are Neopan 1600, developed in Ilford LC29.
