I think that Portugal is one of the few places you can buy absinthe. It's right there on the shelf in between the vodka and the whisky. About the same price too. I'm mighty tempted.

But my local bartender just became a grandfather an hour or so ago, and rumor is that when he reopens later this evening it's champagne all round.
