I just got a Welta Weltur 6x6 with a Tessar 2,8/75 lens. Does anyone know if there´s a downloadable user manual for it available ? Or even better, where could i buy the original manual ?
And yes, i do not need the manual to know how to use it. I just happen to like reading manuals for the stuff i got
Another question. My camera didn´t come with the 6x4,5 mask. I guess it would be hopeless to try and find one for sale. But if it´s just a simple plate of some kind, perhaps i could make one myself. Then i would need the dimensions for it...

Ask (PM) Krosya, he may know.

Hi Niko,
I got your PM and while I can't help you with the manual - I really don't know where you could get one other than maybe EBay. In use it's pretty straight-forward so you shouldn't have any problems, yet if you have any questions - feel free to ask.
Now the second question - abou the mask. I'd say it's hard to find, unless you can find a whole camera with one in it. You could make one, probably. Here are some pics with the info:
It's a vertical 6x4.5 frame. here are dimentions best I could measure. Following photo is how mask would go into the camera. Since I have film in my welta now, I can't show you actual fit inside the film chamber at this time.
Following photo shows this mask sideways, to show other set of dimentions:
And finally, this mask has, what I call a "lip" - a bent at 90 degrees in relation to the plane of the maskpart at the top and bottom - thats how it attaches to the inside of the camera - there are slits inside the camera for this "lip". "Lip" is 2mm long and centered. It starts and ends at 7mm from the edge of the mask. See photos. I drew arrows best I could. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the link! Has anyone bought reprinted manuals there ? I once bought a reprinted manual somewhere online. It was bad quality...

Depends on the quality of the manual they copied it from. Old Timer Cameras is the only place I could find that had one in any kind of condition for that camera. Unless one turns up on ebay, they are pretty much the only game in town. Not even Craig Camera had it, and they have 150,000 camera manuals in stock for 12,000 cameras. I suppose one could turn up there though (more likely than ebay), so here's a link: http://www.craigcamera.com/ib_index.htm

FWIW the mask is the same in the Weltax as the Weltur
Krosya gota love those Welturs hey, they are fine pieces of machinery. your looks a little different on the bottom...rewind knob ect. did it come to like that, i guess it did. I dont presume you retro fitted it. just curious as i havnt seen one like that until now
