A bit nervous what should I do when I see my RD next Wed. Shutter should be okay as per the seller's advice. Should clean it first but I eager to run a roll ....
Any advice on which part should I further examine other than the "famous" shutter ?

Got my RD yesterday, shutter seems works but not sure accurate or not.
Auto mode seems okay as well. Cosmetic a bit ugly therefore I cleaned the body today. Will try a roll tomorrow and post some pics here.
The shutter barrel is a bit stiff though it clicks properly.

Hi Conrad
I gather a lot of the RD shutter barrels are stiff - mine is too.
Had it checked by an 'Olympus' trained mechanic who said that mine wasn't at all bad - he thought most people just used 'A' setting with the camera, and that might in part explain the situation.
Hope your photos turn out well.

Nice photos Conrad, very sharp and very colourful too. Which film did you use?

The film is Fujicolor Superia 200. The RD is easy to use but there are 2 ~ 3 shots that the shutter did not fire. I wonder it the battery problem or shutter problem.
Overall it gives you smooth and easy control.

It may well be a shutter problem. A battery problem would cause you not to be able to push down on the shutter button, whereas a mechanical problem would cause the shutter to not open when the button was depressed. Mine has a similar problem.
