Greetings,
Has anyone recovered M's with Cameraleather Griptac material? How does it feel in use? Don't recall anyone ever mentioning it before.
Thanks,
Fred

Well - I don't have an M covered with it but I do have a Pentax lx skinned in Griptac. The stuff is pretty awesome as far as improving the handling of the camera. Short of covering your fingers in crazy glue or plastering your camera with velcro you would be hard pressed to find a covering that offers you a better grip on the camera.

I mentioned it before in some now-obscure thread, but I'm a believer in it too. It's pretty awesome. I think golfers love it too. 3M makes some amazing stuff.

Chris, you probably tried to be funny but I missed your joke. Before having Griptac I just hated the cold and clumzy feeling of the covering in place, which wasn't the original vulcanite. With Griptac, the tactile feel is so great that it changes my whole shooting experience and makes it better, makes me better. You can't really know unless you are me, eh?

everything is temporary..
I haven't covered an M in the stuff but I did have a spotmatic and canon P covered in griptac. It's pretty amazing stuff and it looks cool too. It's kinda like vulcanite but it's rougher and kinda rubbery. (is vulcanite supposed to be rubbery?, the old vulcanite I stripped off my M3 and replaced with lizard was hard, dry and got sweaty if I held the camera for long periods of time) Griptac is very tactile stuff and it's dirt cheap compared to lizard sking which i've found isn't all that great of a grip and expensive.

Thanks for your replies. I'll give it a try.
I figured the socks thing was an in-joke I certainly didn't get.
