Canon LTM Neopan 1600 w/QL-17?

This is something I'd like to try. The QL-17 only goes up to ISO800 though. How shall I compensate? If the metering is too far off, the QL doesn't let you take the picture.

Any ideas?
 
OK, a little Googlin' is telling me that people shoot Neopan 1600 at 800, and it works great...and in fact it's genuinely closer to being an ISO800 film.

Does this match anyone's experience here? Maybe this should be in the film forum...
 
The easiest thing to do is to take the Canonette of auto, operate it manually, and use a hand-held meter.

As for Neopan 1600, it's probably better at 800 than 1600, but both ISOs' do work. I develop it in xtol. Take a look at the Massive Developing Chart for times and dilutions.
