Hi, chefs de cuisine
I'm sitting here with a new TMAX and still quite some of Ilford's DDX developer. Couldn't find any information for the above combination, so I checked the massive dev chart for a pattern with Kodak's own developers. I found approx:
HC110 -10%
D76 -10%
XTOL +10%
dev time for new New TMAX in comparision to the old one. Old and new are pretty close, it seems.
Would you consider it safe to start then with the old TMAX values, that is, 8 min (ASA 400)?
Thank you for your thoughts on this and regards
Ivo

I don't what else you can do. Unless someone pops up with a time. If it were I, I'd go with +10% just because I hate thin negatives. Do you have an old time? If you do use that + or - 10%. 10% is about 45 seconds so it will probably have an effect.

Thanks for your reply. I'll report what's happening then ...

I always test first. Make 6 test exposures on the first, cut off 12" in in the dark, then test.

9 min, 20 C, 4 inversions / min looks good to me.

How did you like 400TMY-2? I've done two rolls and I like it.

I tried 7.5 minutes for iso 400. Seems alright, although I probably try 8 minutes next time.

Could you please share the results with the data, gentlemen?
I would like to ask the author of the post what's the reason to use DDX?
I haven't got the new Tmax yet as it's not here unfortunately.

data was posted, so what? To me, it looks sharper than the Fuji 400 I was using before. I was using DDX because I still have some
. You're probably better of with the TMAX developer.

John,
not too bad, really. I just came across a TRI-X offer so I guess this is the next thing to go for
