Hi,
I just got back my M4-P from a CLA, yet the infinity focus is slightly off horizontally. Apparently this can be fixed easily by turning only a single screw, according to: http://www.nemeng.com/leica/034b.shtml
Yet, which one is it?
I wouldn't call myself very technically skilled, yet I'm not willing to pay for another CLA just for turning a screw. Who has done this before? How simple is it really? Are the instructions correct?
Cheers,
Max

None of the above. It's the large slotted screw within the cam roller. I find it easy to do provided you have a long slender screw driver that fits the slot nicely. A slight turn is all you need. Some people prefer to remove the bottom cover plate (with the fim leader picture), pop out the cover plug, and insert the screwdriver though that hole to better line up it up with the slotted screw. I also like to wedge my fingernail above the roller wheel to counter any upward force.

And fixed. Thank you guys. I guess its good to know small things like this yourself. Am I being paranoid or is it possible that there is a slight diagonal shift, as in straight lines being a bit shifted? Do misalignments like these occur often?

I've seen diagonal shifts but usually they are small. I'm sure it's fixable but only by a competant repair person.

watch out for perspective tricks, the leica rangefinder is accurate enough that sometimes a tilt in the camera viewpoint will make things look off.
