Shot E100VS and scanned with my new Epson 4490. Tried my best to color correct in Lightroom, I think I got the colors pretty close to the actual film.

I love the ergonomics of the Rollei, the viewfinder is easy to use and the shutter speeds appear to be pretty much on target so no need for a CLA for now which is a GOOD thing.

A few samples...

The flare you're getting and the tonality of the images eminds me of my ancient Rollei Automat Type 1, which has an uncoated lens. Yours should be a postwar model with coated lens, but extreme backlight like that will flare most lenses of the 1950's era despite the coating. I love my Rollei too...it is 70 yrs old and still working!

Very nice- love the delicate color.

Which lens is on yours? I stumbled into one with a Xenar. Although, it will need work.

I love the subtlety of the colors and tones. I'll attribute that to the old school lens and coating (or lack of). love it though. Post some more when you get them!

Mine would be the Zeiss Oberkochen Opton 3.5/75. I had found a thread in photo.net where a guy swore by the Opton saying it performed really well. So when i saw this on evilbay with a few hours left and still under a hundred, I placed a max bid of 180. Ended up winning for 155.

wow that's a very good deal! You'll have plenty of fun with your new toy! And a lot of questions from the people in the street!

Thanks for posting, it really reminds me I have to take my Rolleiflex outdoor soon, have some E100vs on the desk already, so it should be happen soon :)
A TLR deserves to be used regularly ..
