Sadly, I have to sell my limited edition SP.

I was keeping my limited edition SP 2005 as an investment for a rainy day. Unfortunately, the rain is here!

I don't want to just shove it on eBay, that would be too heartless.

I had an original black SP when I went to photographic college at the age of 19. I sold that one when times were hard and always vowed to get another. At the age of 56 I did just that but now, alas it has to go.

At least I shall take a picture of me holding it at 57, to go with the picture I have of me holding my original one, at 19.

Firstly, what is it likely to be worth now? It is mint, hasn't had a roll through it, in fact still has the card inside. Everything is as bought, new.

I hesitate to offer it here, as I'm sure these forums are not for buying and selling, but is there some way of selling it that is a bit more humane than eBay?

All suggestions gratefully received.

Hehe, the SP Limited Edition sets were released in early 2005. Highly unlikely one that has never had film through it needs to be CLA'd

Thanks for all the comments so far. Isn't it always the same, when you want to buy there always seems to be a shortage, but when you want to sell, strangely the bottom has just dropped out of the market.

It did come to me from the U.S. cost a fortune in customs duties. The number is 2285 and I'm going to put some pics up soon.

OK, Thanks for all the input. I'm in the UK and asking £2,500, that's UKP. Sorry to all of you who have to trade in dollars! Still, Bush will soon be gone and things may then improve!
