I recently replaced my chipped vulcanite with red morocco leatherette from http://www.cameraleather.com/colors/ I went with the cheaper leatherette because I wasn't sure how I would like it or if I was even able to do a good job. Anyway it came out great (easy on but what a mess coming off) and now I want to do my M7. Too many choices but I like the exotic leathers. Help me choose!

Help depends... Is your M7 silver or black? In either case, does Morgan still have gray? I think gray makes silver cameras look distinguished, and black ones seem bold, daring and classy.

There you go! :)

I'm not that bold to go with cobalt. Morocco for the M4 was an uncharacteristic choice (for me) but I'm glad I picked it, looks so good. I the type of guy who thinks all cameras should be black or chrome and could not conceive of a leatherette color different then black. So this is a big jump for me.

Agree with you about cobalt. I saw once a photo of an MP in cobalt and it made me cringe.

Grey is the key to get into the zen zone. :)

I've just ordered slate blue from Cameraleather for my (now nude) M2. I liked the idea of the lighter colours with the chrome, but wanted something a little more than the pale grey Granite leather, lovely though it looks. I didn't want something as strong as the cobalt blue, so the slate blue won the day.

I did seriously consider the walnut brown as that looks lovely too.

I hope the new covering arrives soon as the M2 is shivering in this cool and damp summer here...

Black Griptac for the serious shooter.

Second that - my Ms are all covered with Black Griptac, the shooting experience is definitely much better & to me at least they look cool too - kinda "tough & industrial" versus the more "boutique" looking leather-covered, half-cased Ms... :D

Either of the two griptek colors or the slate blue.
