UK Region North Of England RFF Meet 2008?

Good to have you along Tim.

Dave: Enjoy Clacton-on-sea and show those southerners how a northerner loads a L-Series. :)
BTW: I was in Norfolk/Suffolk last week. It's a beautiful part of the country not too much scope for street (not many streets!) but I thought Great Yarmouth provided some good photo opps.

Details to be confirmed, but probably the same as last year.

10.00am in the cafe at Piccadilly Station.

I really urge everyone to try and make it.
It was a good day last year (despite the rain) and will be even better this year (because I've attempted to be organized).
If any folks are arriving earlier/later I can be there to meet them and i'll give out a contact number nearer the time.

Hands up who likes Chinese food! :)

Great! Looks like my work pattern will allow it this year. After many many years, I might get to come in on the train to Victoria (which I am told presents a few photo opportunities itself).

Dave..

Indeed.

You need to look up as the most interesting bit is the Victorian ironwork in the roof.
The ticket booths are pretty nice too.

I suspect me and Kuvvy will land at Victoria and then make our way to Piccadilly on the tram (unless we're early and it's sunny), so we could meet you there.

How's everyone else doing? I thought the offer of Chinese would have brought a few out of the woodwork! ;)

Bob,

I'm still only 50/50 on availability and may not know until the day. If I can, I will see you at Picadilly at 10.

Me! I want some of that: Fondling the stock, Chinese meal, coffee with the guys! Not too keen on rain though, can you arrange that too :)

Dave

Yes I can!

I'm currently talking the the Museum Of Science And Industry to secure photography permits for us should it get too wet to shoot out doors.
(and hopefully prevent us from staying in the pub all day).

As for the Chinese.
The pacific is a really good one. They also have a Thai Menu too which is excellent.
There's a menu on their website to get you in the mood.

How can anyone say no? :)

Fidgets right guys.

TIME FOR A SHOW OF HANDS. :)

I know it's hard to be completely sure. But who thinks they might be able to make it and who's sure they can't?

It's looking like I won't make it this time. I'm going to go to the Big Chill for the weekend. You never know - if it's raining all weekend in Herefordshire, or I get over-chilled I might sneak off after all...

Tom

I've now moved down south. So, unless I can scrape together enough for the train fare back up north, I'm out. :(

Sorry to hear that you can't make it. You could be missing what may be a good old Manchester rainy day.
But, what's this about another rangefinder forum! You mean there's more?
