Best Built 40mm VF?

Wondering if there are any 40mm VF's out there with the build quality of the current Zeiss Ikon Finders?

Not currently as far as I know- I was thinking historically.

can't recall ever seeing another brand of 40 finder, except for the cl/cle.

i have used the cosina CV 40mm vf
very bright and extremely clear.
i would recommend it

Historically speaking, Olympus made a 40mm finder as well.

Nothing wrong with the CV finder though.

Just worried that it is plastic. But I suppose they're cheap enough to simply replace.
