I was browsing the gallery on photo.net and came across a few interesting pieces:

Obviously they make heavy use of photoshop, but still find this type of effect very appealing, they do look like paintings!

What do you think?

Artistically speaking I don't like them - which is to say I can't imagine hanging one in my house. As images for commercial value they are quite nice - I could see them in a magazine, or on a poster etc.

Cloying kitsch. Reminds me of paintings of big eyed children on black velvet.

They have a sort of subtle fantasy quality and warmth about them, a la Guillermo Del Toro -- Pan's Labyrinth. Obviously not the violent bits ..
I can't knock them!
