Stefan, nice series from Cuba. I remember that green/turquise color that they love and the rather dim interiors. Havana is very much a M camera place. A bit more discreet than a big DSLR (as well as less reliance on the Havana power supply).
I have been there a couple of times, but I stuck to Tri X and M2's though.
It was like going back again looking at your shots.

It is interesting to note that, since this is the YEAR OF THE M2, and this thread is about Cuba, that one of the world's most famous photographs was taken in Cuba with a Leica M2 and a 90mm lens by Alberto Korda.

The truth is that my redressed green, button rewind M2 went with me as a back up, but since I don't like very much carrying two bodies, I end up shooting just a roll of Neopan 400 with it. M2 is a great user camera, but the MP is something else.

I also like your very severe editing down to only 15 images.

Thanks very much for posting the link. I've enjoying your photos a lot. I agree with Dries, the editing is great. Not a weak picture in the bunch.

I must say, I set an avant-la-lettre strategy of showing on the web only a maximum of 1 picture per two rolls of film. I do pick up a number of 50 photos which I like from Cuba. The 15 are of the best, but for the last 5 that made it, I had to flip a coin.
Thank you all of you for stopping by. This trip to Cuba was my first photo-dedicated trip since I quit my lawyer's carrier. I wanna do the rest of my life only what I love most. Photography. Now I am trying to figure out how to make only the type of photography I love and getting some cash out of it. It would not be easy, that's for sure. I don't have any idea where to start.

Stefan, you have some very nice pictures. However, I think you should first create a new website (secretly of course) that's minimal in order to show case your work. Best of luck in your endeavour.

A lot of people told me that my web site is not up to its content. So I decided to change the layout. I bought a template and now it looks different. And because of the template, I uploaded no less than 70 images from Cuba. I don't know if all of them will be there for a long time. 70 images means showing 2 images per roll of film exposed in Cuba, which is too much, i think. But for the moment, the images will stay. I don't know for how long.

Any feedback about the new design is highly appreciated. Especially from those that didn't liked my site before. Thank you.

shoot pictures not people
Great collection of images from Cuba. I'm not certain if some where under exposed or low contrast but I love love love the color and tonality. I'm inspired to shoot and experiment more with chrome.

This is a picture with me in the bar. It is also a place where a lot of other photographers get exposed. The bar is very popular among photographers here.
As for pictures from Romania, I find it most difficult to shoot here, because I am too involved in the every day life, and it usually takes 2-3 days when I am away, to enter the necesary mood. Everytime. I am still haveing trouble about finding my pace here. I have to, because I ran out of money and I cannot afford any trips in exotic places.
Any of you foun it difficult to shoot back home? Any of you overcame this? How?

I like this one, too. It looks like a very nice place to have a beer and hang out with friends
About shooting back home ... it is very difficult for me to find anything interesting. Usually I only go once a year back to my hometown in Germany (maximal one week, longer is not possible) but taking photos there ? On the other hand, I have no problems taking photos over and over again at the same places here in Japan. There is always some new aspect to discover.
