i have one question, when cocking my m4 cocking lever first move freely about 20 degrees from body and then it start to cock. cocking is absolutely normal after that and camera works great. does anyone knows why i have that free part? (i dont know if free is right word but there is no resistance in that part. i know that previous owner was changing plastic part and put homemade metal part so maybe that is the reason.)

It's normal (and is the same on an M3 and M2, and possibly/probably on all other Ms). It means that the wind-on lever rests far enough out between shots to make winding on convenient, but tucks away neatly if needed.

That extra bit of play allows you to store the advance lever flush with the top of the camera or to pull it part way out so that it sits against your thumb and is ready for use.
EDIT: Ah, beat me to it.

Trouble is, one day the M8 will take over and then all this knowledge will be lost.
