Well-known
Well, at least I tried. Having salivated after a Leica rangefinder for many years, I bought one (an M6 non-TTL) and quite enjoyed using it for the most part.
What I liked most was the size of the body and the build quality. Very dinky and portable. The lenses (2 Voigtlanders and a Cron) were also very compact compared to my Nikon D300 and the 17-55mm/f2.8 that usually adorns it.
What I struggled with was also the size. Now, I don't have very large hands but I found the body a bit too compact for my mitts and trying to focus the Cron 35/f2 was easy once I'd managed to locate the little widget. Still, it's a beautiful camera / set up but it was not to be - at least for me.
I had a word with my local camera shop guy and managed to trade for a Nikon F100, Nikkor 24/f2.8, Bronica SQ-B, 80/f2.8 and 150/f4 (all mint and boxed). I know I might regret parting with the M6 at some stage but, as most of my photography is digital these days and most of my gear is Nikon, this makes more sense for me. The SQ-B is a great lump but very simple and the photos I've seen produced from it are superb.
So, although I'll be popping over from time to time, I won't be 'active' as I don't have a rangefinder anymore. Thanks to one and all for your advice and comments over the short while I've been among you and best wishes to you all in your endeavours - photographic and otherwise.
Kind regards and 'au-revoir'.

Well, with 72 posts, and presumably a lot more reads, you should know by now nobody here much keeps track of the fact you don't have a rangefinder. And you are still using film.
Don't be a stranger.

I for one would be pleased to see photos from your new outfit. What you use does not matter to most people on RFF. Hope to see you back soon.
